On Sunday, January 24 at 2:30 PM, you are invited to an online book group to discuss Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom by David W. Blight.

The 2019 winner of the Pulitzer Prize in History is a monumental work about a monumental figure: Frederick Douglass, the escaped slave who became the greatest orator of his day and one of the leading abolitionists and writers of the era. Drawing on new information, Blight’s deeply engaging biography speaks to our own time, through one of the most important voices of the 19th century.

Start reading now as this book is about 800 pages long! But well worth the read.

Contact Tana Jackson at kjackson270@comcast.net if you are interested in attending and to receive the Zoom link details!

Save the date: February 24 – we will be discussing The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See.
