The celebration of the birth of Jesus is a special time here at St. Matthews. There is much to do, and it is a lot of fun. So while waiting, we are also preparing. Please use this event as an opportunity for you and your family to join your church community in decorating the Nave.
We will gather at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 21st for the “Greening of the Church.”
What happens? We will be hanging greens, decorating the tree with special Chrismons (some handmade this year), placing nativity sets, setting candle poles at the pews and decorating them with greens and bows, placing smaller items around the church, hanging wall paraments, changing altar paraments, and so many other details to complete the project.
